I am so behind on this post that the next meet is almost here again! Here are some of my favorites from the meet on Saturday. It was Pitt’s first regular season meet of the year against Kent State and WVU. WVU came out on top this time.

Pitt Gymnastics – Blue vs. Gold…no scores were posted, so we don’t know who won! This is more of a picture post anyway, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. The freshman looked ready to contribute to the lineup, Alicia Talucci looks even better than she did last year (and I am really liking this year’s floor routine), Jessica Byich upgraded her bar dismount to a double layout (it’s good!), and every class wore a different leotard to compete in.

This might be a little boring to any non-gymnastics people reading (and it might not make any sense either), but…I love basics! Basics demonstrate your complete mastery of the sport and give your gymnastics an edge that makes you stand out from the crowd.
So, since I love basics, I loved this little gymnast from the Season’s Greetings meet on Saturday. She had great basics, great form and really sold her routines…so refreshing! She stood out among all of the gymnasts there and was in a class of her own. Such a cutie!
