Poor abandoned Holga

This poor roll of Holga film was stuck at Ritz for about two months due to Snowmageddon 2010 and the fact that it is hard for me to get to Ritz. I had forgotton what was on this roll of film, but that’s actually the fun part of photography that gets missed in the digital process. Some of my favorites from the forgotten roll…

California? Yes, summer of 2009. Pretty sure I wasn’t using that handy-dandy little thing on the front of the camera to focus. But that’s the beauty of the Holga, right?

And the Morgantown Balloon Festival from the fall of 2009. My favorite? The double-exposure. It turned out much cooler than I anticipated.

Wow – California and the Pacific Coast

When anticipating our trip to California I never imagined it would go quite like it did. It was the most amazing and relaxing trip I have ever taken. We stayed on the top of a mountain and had almost a 360 degree view of the ocean. The coast was absolutely amazing and so different from what I had pictured in my head. I look forward to going back at some point (hopefully in the near future!) Look for more to come from the trip. I have some cool stories from our visit to Alcatraz.

New website time…and vacation!

I am so excited to finally be in progress on my new website. The pictures are hugely awesome in size and it has all of the information you need and want. I can’t wait to unveil it for you!

At the same time, I am feeling the pressure as I am leaving for California in three days and am trying to fit a bunch of errands and photo and website work into each day. I really wish I didn’t have to sleep.

Since I have never been to the West Coast or California, I don’t have any sneak peek photos for you. My second exciting trip of the summer will be to Nationals in Dallas in August, so in anticipation of that trip…here is a Holga photo of Shawn Johnson from the 2008 Olympic Trials.
