About RWS Photography | Fun children's portraits

You've made it to the place where children's photography is fun and relaxed. No stiff poses or fakey smiles allowed! Show off your favorite toys, make silly faces and roll around in the leaves. What do you get? A photo that really captures a piece of your child's personality. It's those little details you will remember about them...their cowlicks and freckles, their tiny fingers and missing front teeth.

And since you made it here (woohoo!), take some time to check out the links at the very bottom of this page for all things cool, and the links across the top of the page for answers to all of your questions. Enjoy!

I’m back!

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Though I wasn’t really gone, I have just been amazingly busy. It’s funny though, if you asked me what I have been doing, I am not sure I would be able to tell you. We got back from Florida, I got sick (or I have been struggling with allergies, not sure which), I went crazy with a few around-the-house projects, spent time with family and did a million other things. All the while thinking about the hundreds of photos that were sitting on my computer unedited.

We took a trip to “the happiest place on earth” and I just haven’t been able to make myself get back into tweeting, facebooking, or photo editing. The trip was amazing and relaxing, and I definitely do not feel the need to go back for a good, long while (except for maybe Halloween or Christmas).

Aside from the amazing rides and the feeling you get when you walk down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, the nighttime fireworks shows were my favorite parts of the whole trip. They are huge spectacles unlike anything you can see anywhere else. These are two photos from the ending part of the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular show. We got a spot for the show about 2 hours in advance. That’s right, I said 2 hours. Aren’t you jealous? I always have to remind myself that patience is a virtue.

The Disney villains were trying to take over.

This is the finale of the show. I didn’t lighten this photo at all – the fireworks really lit up the entire crowd like that. It was amazing. I actually got chills (and I felt a little ridiculous) but hey, it’s Disney, you’re supposed to have fun like a little kid!

I hope everyone is having a great summer so far! More good things to come soon…keep your eyes peeled.
