You've made it to the place where children's photography is fun and relaxed. No stiff poses or fakey smiles allowed! Show off your favorite toys, make silly faces and roll around in the leaves. What do you get? A photo that really captures a piece of your child's personality. It's those little details you will remember about them...their cowlicks and freckles, their tiny fingers and missing front teeth.

i Heart Faces has fun, themed weekly photo contests in which, no matter what the theme, a face must be clearly visible. This week’s contest is called “Over My Head”. I’ve never entered one of their contests so…here’s my first entry!

It felt like we were never going to get the chance to get all three of these goofballs together. But…we did! And it was horseback riding, a barn, daisies and HEAT. It was so hot, but the kids were awesome and I love the shots I got. In fact, the daisy field images are some of my favorite ever.

He gets out of the car, walks right up to me, looks up and says, “These are my SpongeBob sunglasses and I have to wear them because it is so bright!” It was easy riding from then on out.
What an amazing little guy he was, so outgoing and sweet. (And wow, what a perfect model! He was so natural.) He wanted to interact and talk and play during the entire shoot. I got SO many good photos of him right off the bat, I probably could have been done in the first five minutes. (I marvel at this because I am pretty sure I was the exact opposite as a child.)
